This is Castanya, our god-donkey. She lives in a donkey park/sanctuary and we pay a monthly fee to help cover the place's expenses, which makes us her "godparents". Yesterday the park ran a competition party. Donkey+human teams had to complete a set of tasks, such as carrying water in saddlebags, for points. All the donkeys were very good. The thing is, Castanya is extremely unruly. She refused to cooperate in any task. She is the bestest!!!! Go Castanya!

The park's organizers were even surprised that she let us put her the scarf (each godparent had been made to wear a given color of t-shirt and then we had matching scarves to tie to the donkeys, for team spirit). In the water carrying task, scores went by now much water was spilled. Castanya didn't even let us place the empty saddlebags on her — she started rearing and bucking to remove the bags from herself. No water was spilled, though 🤣 She's so intelligent and so determined not to work!
