@kims@mas.to @mattblaze@federate.social IDK how it works everywhere else but can say with certainty that DC takes note of reports sent to it by ERIC to catch double-voters. Based on a review of DCBoE admin orders, IMO the review happens well after a given election & thus doesn’t result in vote invalidation. Sample order: https://dcboe.org/getContentAsset/bad7a1aa-5e72-41c5-bc30-510ecdfc83d9/5ebbd046-860b-4ee1-81c8-43d0e3bc446e/Final-Order-Micaiah-Lewis-080626.pdf?language=en

@20002ist@thepit.social @kims@mas.to As I understand it (and you should get specific legal advice, etc), there is no affirmative duty to invalidate your previous voter registration when you move, AS LONG AS YOU DON’T ACTUALLY VOTE in the old place. But there may be unpleasant side effects of the old registration, such as being on the jury duty rolls. (Philly has been very slow to remove my voter registration, despite my best efforts, and still calls me for juries every two years).
