i mean it doesn't have to be an attribute byte. i was just assuming AH would be garbage but we actually do control the value. sort of.

WE HAVE AN H the crap on the screen is CGA snow. it's happening because i end up looping over the whole thing and i'm not waiting for blanking periods to write to video memory. the CGA's DRAM is single-ported and this makes it upset
