Yesterday, my son harvested 42 jalapeño peppers off a plant he grew from a seed. Then he proceeded to quick pickle them.
He's excited to report that they turned out exactly as he hoped when he started the whole thing with a seed months ago.

Starting from a single seed and ending up with 42 jalapeño peppers is quite an achievement.
