@virtualbri@mastodon.online It's laughable for private equity to claim they are good for business. They hollow out a companies assets then force the company to pay more to keep going. They are bad for business and ultimately their failure will hurt everyone. Laws should be passed to collect damages from private equity shareholders who take profits causing businesses to fail but aren't held accountable for the damage they do.

@virtualbri@mastodon.online Oh, pretty please, let this happen. Private equity has left nothing but a trail of destruction.

@virtualbri@mastodon.online Let Em Burn. It's well past time that process went EOL. We call them Vulture Capitalists for a reason. Oh yeah ... @toxic@mstdn.social used "Two Men and a Truck" back in, er, 1997 to move places in San Francisco, and I've seen them up and down the Left Toast ... it is no longer a "StartUp". Just sayin'.

@virtualbri@mastodon.online It's like how the slop machines can't feed off their own output, otherwise everything collapses. These parasites need fresh businesses for their parasitic model to work. You can't juice a company that's already been enshittified, and almost¹ no one is going to buy the corpse of one of these enshittified brands. My only regret is the number of other people will lose their jobs because of these parasites. — ¹ We have seen one or two passion projects buy up a brand corpse in an attempt to restore their former glory, but they're very much the exception. The biggest one I'm aware of is the sewing pattern company, I think it's Simplicity? And basically it was a former employee who only really did it to get her hands on the specialized printing equipment for the paper patterns to keep that part of the business alive even as they pivot to print on demand patterns as well.
