@mothling@mementomori.social driving or public transport? there's fab beaches along the coast. In the city there's great food and drink to be had. You will need to visit a chipper (dinos or lennoxs or the golden fry) and get a potato pie (a pure cork delicacy).
For cocktails, Paladar and Cask, for craft beer The Bierhaus and The Abbott Alehouse are fantastic.

@triploidtree@mastodon.ie thanks for the recommendations and will mostly be tied to public transport, as unfortunately the one thing I haven't done is retaken all my driving tests after moving to the UK. Though not sure what is available for perhaps bus/coach or day trips, may also have a look.
