I firmly believe #AI will be the death of #opensource software. When everyone, instead of supporting the developers of #foss they profit from, chooses to ask #ChatGPT or #Claude for help, what do you expect will happen? Consulting and support is how mantainers put food on the table: it was tough before, it's pretty much impossible now (and I've seen it happen already), and yes, projects WILL be abandoned. Is this what we want? Not sure if there's a way back. Any way you look at it, it's bleak.
