Oh, so at work a couple weeks ago someone had set aside an item we had received as damaged. It was a cake pan with the bottom having fallen out. A springform pan. The latch had opened and the bottom fell out. If you are familiar with these pans, this is exactly a thing they are meant to do. Popped it back open, put the bottom in correctly and closed it up, and what do you know, it's all perfect. It wasn't a warped bottom or damaged latch preventing it from properly closing, it was a random bump and an employee who had no idea what they were looking at. Wish I knew who it was so I could have gone over that with them(I would be polite and respectful unless it was someone there for years who should know better)
