A good thing about making friends or a range of ages rather than sticking with the people you went to school with is that getting older becomes less scary, because you've literally experienced that people still have friends (you) and a life (your friends)

If all your friends are your age then yeah sure you'll be stressing about what place you've got in the league of life achievements and what might happen if they don't have time for you any more and what life could possibly be like if things keep changing
