#Question Would you (hypothetically) be more likely to buy original artwork if the cost was spread out over 3+ months? A 300€ painting could be in 10x 30€ instalments, for example. I'd send the artwork when the payment is complete I've been thinking about this a lot lately as I'm always trying to think of ways to make my work more accessible to people who usually wouldn't be able to afford to buy original art (like me!) • So, I looked into it and asked around. PayPal offers some options like "Pay in 4" and 'Pay in 3" and 'Pay Monthly" depending on the country, so that is a potential option that I could offer for non-commission pieces, or for commission pieces where the buyer would prefer that. Alternatively, Stripe offers sellers the option to set up payment plans for customers! So, this is something I need to look into further.

  • @BeautifulMutantStudio@mastodon.art ownart, operating through the arts Council offer this via some galleries. I'm not sure how it's managed from an artist perspective. https://www.ownart.org.uk/what-is-own-art/ May be of interest?
