A little more than a year ago, the Illinois legislature passed the Pre-Trial Fairness Act, which, among other things, eliminated cash bond. It was to take effect on January 1 but was stayed by the Illinois Supreme Court pending decision on various cases. We are expecting the decision this morning on whether it becomes effective and in what form. There are so many possible outcomes that I almost wish I had set up a betting pool. Assuming we get bond reform, I'll try to toot about it
