@Tipa@gamepad.club That was a great read! While I have not played Dverghold, I just finished my playthrough of Underkeep and thought it was a blast! Like you mentioned in your write-up, it was a lot of fun and the clean retro aesthetics went a long way to making it appealing. I was also surprised at how well it played with a controller on the steam deck. I'm sure it would be more intuitive with a mouse and keyboard, but was pleasantly surprised with the controller support.

@Tipa@gamepad.club Have you tried the Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord remaster? It’s pretty kickass.

@Tipa@gamepad.club Thanks for reviewing these. It sounds like both of them are just shy of the mark. Have you played anything in the Etrian Odyssey series? A party-based dungeon crawl, hard as rock and I think very much an evolution of the old Wizardry style of game. I've put a huge amount of time into them over the years. They were originally for the Nintendo DS and 3DS, but the first three have been re-released as "HD" versions on Steam and the Switch: https://atlus.com/etrianorigins/
