@Teri_Kanefield My criminal practice has been entirely in State courts, but my experience says taking a year to get to trial isn't unusual, especially in a high stakes or complex case. Trial dates get set within the speedy trial time line but are often delayed usually on defense request. Is a typical Federal case tried within the speedy trial deadline?
