When MCU introduces Wolverine, they should make it clear he was affected by Thanos snap and spent the next 5 years healing and resnapping, in a torturous limbo state, until Hulk fixed things.
Maybe have some balls and have Logan having gone through that and gone completely off the rails as a result(his healing factor apparently helps with psychological damage, but it has to have some limits), and they have to have X-23 take him down and be the MCU Wolverine.
Or really anything to put Laura Kinney, as played by Dafne Keen, take center stage as Wolverine. Logan I guess can be around as a mentor in the background. Great character and they cast the right actress, holding her own next to Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman in her first movie, and IIRC second professional acting job ever, at 12, was quite a feat. And Deadpool and Wolverine showed this wasn't just a one off or the creative side working around actor limitations.

Apparently they auditioned like 500 girls for the role of Laura Kinney. The Logan team knew they had to nail that casting. And needing her to be bilingual, while English/Spanish isn't the hardest combo to find, did reduce the field of potential actresses a bit. Seriously, Logan was a brilliant movie from top to bottom. Crazy superhero action, heartbreaking backstory, understanding of the characters and how to make them work in a movie. One of my favorites, though it goes hard enough it can be a rough watch.
