We always watched it when it originally broadcast. Even at 10 years old, the “science” stood out as implausible to me. Like - the basic premise requires the moon to be going faster than light.

@icastico@c.im it's frustrating when it's difficult to suspend disbelief to enjoy something. Non sequitur but I felt that way watching the Lion King on stage. 😆 I was supposed to ignore the actors faces and just look at the masks that rested on their heads but I couldn't do it. It just looked way too silly to me. Gave me a fit of the giggles.
