Mea culpa: A while ago I ranted about how the use of dialect in the public space in Norway makes it difficult for communication. I was wrong. And I apologize. I don’t know if Norwegians are language-tolerant in general, but someone with a broken Norwegian like me doesn’t have his opportunity to participate in the public debate curbed because of language. That tolerance should be appreciated and praised. And it goes both ways.
