My hangups with hosting a peertube is i'd have to keep the host computer on 24/7 and having to maintain the server to prevent DDOS attacks CVE coming out of nowhere and not being home to update the kernel so my server is exploitable
It's not easy to keep a server running and secured

@codytherudeguy@linuxrocks.online putting the cart before the horses, you don't even have a server running and are worrying about DDoS attacks. If your software is battle tested there's nothing to worry about, it's extra work but also fun, there's this misconception that self hosting has a lot of maintenance because things break all the time, not true in the slightest.
