@ascentale@sfba.social @rasterweb@mastodon.social @bikenite@fedigroups.social A2. I don’t have one, probably because I haven’t seriously crashed/fallen enough to think I need one. But I should probably rectify that… #BikeNite

@ascentale@sfba.social @rasterweb@mastodon.social @bikenite@fedigroups.social A2 My crash checklist is: 1. Is my blood still inside my body? 2. Are my bones still inside my body? 3. Are my bones still intact? 4. Is my bike still functional? (check pedals, chain, tires, and handlebars) #bikeNite

@ascentale@sfba.social @rasterweb@mastodon.social @bikenite@fedigroups.social First one is get off the road, second one is compose yourself and try to figure out what actually happened. If a car was involved, you’ll be more shaken up than the driver and so maybe more uncertain about the facts. Get to certainty as quickly as you can.

@ascentale@sfba.social @rasterweb@mastodon.social @bikenite@fedigroups.social 'Did anybody see that? ' If no, then the blood and bone thing. If yes to witnesses then 'Can I style it out?' If yes to blood and bone containment and intactness then 'Can I style it out?'
