@haqistan@hachyderm.io Here's the text I'm currently copypasting into my own open source projects: https://codeberg.org/mcc/nameless-experimental-lisp/#contributor-agreement I've seen other people with standard text, but nothing designed to be copypasted. Incidentally, I am considering upgrading to something a little stronger, like this; what do you think about it? https://mastodon.social/@mcc/115872922320160715

@mcc@mastodon.social (1) I'm also on codeberg, just followed you; sorry it took me so long to get back to you, am not on mastodon much atm; (2) I f'ing love what you're doing with that LISP interpreter, I was a hard-core LISP person myself all through the early 80s/and 90s, even before (ran NIL on the VAX under VMS, fun); (3) I really like your wording and approach in that license/contributor agreement, I think that's a fine start. The MCC0 license is born. LLMs are finally pushing hackers back into RMS's annoying little box, where we're all supposed to out-lawyer actual lawyers (not a fan), but here we are: you can't just pretend like getting spammed by LLMs isn't a real concern anymore. I put something in my blog's license a while ago b/c of and switched to CC0(NC), but it obviously doesn't go far enough and anyway, I think we've lost that battle. Creators with serious skin in the game can only expect a few $thousand dollars per *book* that is appropriate? GTFO At least with code LLMs have to expose themselves by forking you or submitting PRs, We have a chance to get a hand in their "face".
