I recently posted a shot of the huge and imposing marble staircase from the City Chambers in Glasgow, but it's only one of the amazing bits of interior decoration in the building. This is another: the 100 foot long Faience Corridor, where every inch of its walls and domed ceilings are adorned with glazed decorative ceramic tiles.

@thisismyglasgow@mastodon.scot After I took the tour, and was stunned, I went ambling down Buchanan St. Stopped in one of the souvenir shops, spoke w/ an employee, who had never been in the chambers!!!

@thisismyglasgow@mastodon.scot the building is filled with lawyers, but public can access the lobby and many do just go stare up at that ceiling.
