Having a kind of recurring nightmare that I have transitioned to become a full-time content creator. All I do is spend all day sat watching the news headlines and waiting for my next "hot take". AI is a goldmine for me - the best thing that could have happened to my earnings 📈 I then dress these hot takes up in fancy tweets, toot or whatever, then after lots of cross-posting on socials I turn it into a longform blog post for the Substack. Then I create a video for YouTube - I might even find guests to speak about it to give me fresh recurring content and to tap into their networks - for more exposure. The plan is to keep growing my reach, then eventually maybe hire an agent to help with growth, and to open doors to allow me to write that book on how Big Tech is killing the planet. It's sure to become a number 1 Best Seller on Amazon. Then that will open new doors - maybe I will be invited onto morning TV shows, to help promote the book, and thus build my profile as a good citizen of the world! It dawns on me years later that I have earned my living thanks to the very Big Tech platforms (and our obsession with 24/7 news, opinions and hot takes) which are hosting said opinions. I chuckle to myself at this thought - that as society divides, and the planet burns, I'm doing *quite well* thanks to the YouTube Partner Program (and for the sponsored ads I begin inserting throughout), and thanks to paying subscribers on Substack and elsewhere... I make a mental note that one day (perhaps once I've hit $1 million revenue) I will try and pay it back somehow... maybe I will donate to a worthy cause, or sponsor a Data Center worker in the Global South... maybe even start my own philanthropic movement? I keep hearing great things about Effective Altruism and their work in this field... I put these thoughts to the side due to coming up with another "hot take" - scrambling for my phone before the opinion falls from my mind. #creatoreconomy #nightmares
