However, for Madoka to convert to Yudkowskyanism, she'd have to recoil not just into "career woman" or "hard-nosed scientist" but rather "IQ fetishist who fundamentally regards most humans as 'NPCs'".
The character in the original who sounds the most like a Yudkowsky hero is... Kyubey.

@bstacey@icosahedron.website @mxchara@cyberpunk.lol what I think is interesting about your assessment of him regarding most humans as NPCs is something we were talking about in another thread, which is the science of persuasion. And how it works on everyone, because of how our brains are wired, but how little most people understand it and how vulnerable we are to AI that understands it better than we do and has the time and attention and data to customize its approach to each of us.
