@bstacey@icosahedron.website @mxchara@cyberpunk.lol what I think is interesting about your assessment of him regarding most humans as NPCs is something we were talking about in another thread, which is the science of persuasion. And how it works on everyone, because of how our brains are wired, but how little most people understand it and how vulnerable we are to AI that understands it better than we do and has the time and attention and data to customize its approach to each of us.

@bstacey@icosahedron.website @mxchara@cyberpunk.lol If you can manipulate the attitudes of people and persuade them to change their viewpoints via targeted approaches, a lot of moral and ethical questions emerge. They are not *new* questions, but the implementation of mass AI persuasion attacks may be new. We are all being treated as NPCs. As resource to be mined. And not for our own greater good.

@SomeVeganCheeseIsOk@mastodon.social @mxchara@cyberpunk.lol "AI" understands nothing. Talking like it does enforces techfash propaganda inside your own brain. HPMoR says nothing valuable about persuasion. Go away. (hits mute button, moves on with life)
