I think I've worked out why AI art can be so unsettling to me. Even when it doesn't add fingers or make other obvious mistakes... it's too perfect. Lines too straight, or too consistently curved, faces and such perfectly symetrical, it's like it took human art and averaged everything out into a generic representation of what art even is. One artist veers a little to the left, the other to the right, AI gives you straight up and down. The small quirks that let art come alive are just gone. Which, well, thats pretty much exactly what it does with a little RNG on top so it can pretend at originality.
