In 1988 we had 7.2 beds to every 1000 people. Today we have 1.7 beds to every 1000 people. Even without accounting for population growth (which has more than doubled), that was 17,790 beds compared to 9,003 today. Adriana Lagrange and Danielle Smith calls 9,003 beds with today's population "a record high" and "the largest capacity in Alberta's history". Yes, that lie is intentional. It cannot be anything but. (First image from Dr. Paul Parks, past 2024-2025 Alberta Medical Association president and current Medicine Hat ER doctor.) This is why Danielle Smith loves AI so much (and has promised in the Fall Sitting 5 days ago to proliferate AI data centres across Alberta). Just look at how quickly this disinformation is disemminated by AI, based only on the UCP's own public statement. They believe they have the power and influence to alter the truth itself. PS, both my figures differ from Dr. Park's by 0.2 beds per 1000 people. Not sure where the discrepancy lies, but I posted what I can personally back up. The difference feels inconsequential. #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli #healthcare #fascism #propaganda
