As such, even when they think they're opposing capitalism by being anti-AI, ironically they're just reinforcing the defeatist view that there's no alternative to capitalism and corporations are the legitimate owners, designers, makers, and deployers of all revolutionary technologies.

@remixtures@tldr.nettime.org I don't think people really hate the tech, but hate the madness from the overhype of it and the forced inclusion on everything. It's natural to oppose to something that is literally being developed by corporations with the intention to mess and control us. When the dust settles, we will have an opening for real ai applications in its niches where it's useful, and with sane development and distribution models, also without the environmental damage
