Tonight in Paris: metro shut down, I accidentally walked into the protests at Porte Saint-Denis. Fire, riot cops, tear gas. Opened Bolt (European Uber for you Americans). Normally a phone-number-&-SMS-code ordeal, but I’d set up a passkey a month ago. One tap, driver on the way. Car arrives as a mob runs past and tear gas LITERALLY hits my feet. Jumped in the Prius and we went 0-60 (0-100 for you Europeans) in a heroic 11 seconds. Moral of the story: passkeys are phishing resistant AND teargas resistant 🔐
