One unexpected benefit of no longer listening to the radio (I used to have CBC R1 on all the time) is that I haven't heard the expression "tinder dry" all year. To someone like me who has a visceral reaction to repetition, this is such a relief. Also: tinder, like pretty much anything else, can be wet. It just won't work as well.
