Ecology is a consistently misunderstood discipline. Often it's reduced to an environmental sentiment that doesn't reflect much more than a nature-loving outlook. On the other side, while ecology is concerned with the scientific understanding of organic life's patterns, scientists often omit any political, social, cultural, or ethical aspects in their explanations. These are serious flaws, because society developed from nature, and thus one can only be understood in the context of the other.
