@cjd@pkteerium.xyz There is some truth to what you say, but I worked 2 full time jobs for 2 years along with a part time job on the weekends, then a job and a half for 3 years following that. My grandfather worked 3 jobs his entire life. My father was a chemist and worked a second job the first 12 years of his married life.
In the 50's my grandparents had one car, a 1000 sf house, on a 1200 square foot lot. no a/c, no dishwasher, no microwave and they never flew on a plane. It wasn't as rosy as all that

Everybody knows how good they had it, and how thoroughly they screwed their progeny. The younger generations are Seething With Hatred over this. And the boomers just keep on mumbling the same lines about bootstraps and a firm handshake. This is gonna end with mass graves.
