@prahou@merveilles.town Did you know that @GIMP@floss.social was a common lisp program, but it switched to scheme, apparently because the original developers didn't appear to know about lisp's arrays but found out about scheme's arrays. (Actually, I heard a version of the story that they just genuinely thought lists were more appropriate (however not performant in context), but the project changed to SIOD and then tinyscheme in the first years anyway). @Krita@mastodon.art

Before 2011, I used a fork of GIMP named "GIMP-painter"+Mypaint+Alchemy for 2 years full time and made plenty of artworks this way. For Krita, making a fundraiser back this era to make the software ready for a user like me who could give a lot of feedback and could test the dev version was a big step in their development ( https://web.archive.org/web/20110313112349/http://www.kdenews.org/2009/12/02/krita-team-seeking-sponsorship-take-krita-next-level ). And a big step for me too, to get a software adapted to my needs, of course 😊
