@cstross@wandering.shop The graphic does not make that clear, definition of a depression is an economy shrinking >10% in a year or being in a recession for over two years. I cannot tell from that graph whether the construction sector alone has shrunk >10% or not, let alone the wider economy.

@cstross@wandering.shop I find this especially funny because one of the people I used to give a little attention to on economic issues as his bright shiny “dynamic model” saying GDP in the US will grow by three and something percent. My brother in Christ, your model is obviously not in contact with reality
