Some/plenty of them are NOT PROPERLY disclosing #Advertisements! No, i'm not talking about checking a box in their YT creator studio interface - it's way WÖRSE!
They're SNEAKING the ad into the narrative! 😱 ...you're sitting there, consuming their arguably interesting topic, and then, over about 10 WHOLE SECONDS, they're slowly transitioning to a sponsored ad segment! 🤬

🧵 2/n one may fault #LMG #LinusTechTips for a few things, but THIS "segue, to our sponsor" IS EXACTLY what they are doing PERFECTLY RIGHT!👍 THAT is the minimum amount of #transparency, EVERY creator SHOULD be submitted to. (i'm not being oppressive, i'm arguing in self-defense) Linus mentioned the #Fern channel, on a recent #WANshow - turns out, they're the German #Simplicissimus guys, but in English - i've unsubscribed those, exactly because of those sneaking ads - #Schleichwerbung! 🇩🇪 🤣
