I'm looking for tools/setups for creating & managing beautiful, interactive, and structured diagrams/flow charts/etc. Any recommendations?

@brad_frost@mastodon.social D3.js is the canonical library for this. But the API is like swimming thru mud. Mermaid is markdown driven and really easy, but not super customizable. Saw a clone called Pele the other day that accepts css variables. Could be nice.
