@davatron5000@mastodon.social @brad_frost@mastodon.social I'm playing with whimsical.com as a web based flow diagram creator that is pretty slick. It's presentation mode uses sub-sections of the flowchart is clean and simple. It doesn't have any global theming and I haven't unlocked any animations yet. I'm still playing around so can't 100% recommend it but it's at least an honorable mention

@davatron5000@mastodon.social @brad_frost@mastodon.social I trade my knowledge of D3 and Highchart for money and for most situations prefer Highchart as I find it easier to build things that have some level of accessibility. In D3 that feels like an afterthought, and agree that it's API is still murky and that is despite using it for much longer than Highchart. I use mermaid for my own internal documentation - but that isn't for money and extremely basic.

@davatron5000@mastodon.social @brad_frost@mastodon.social Obserable, the team behind d3 also built plot, an abstraction for d3, which I'd describe as a composable and configurable charting library. Easier to use than d3, more flexible then alternatives. https://observablehq.github.io/plot/
