@samsterby@mastodon.green I was thinking about the landlord problem recently and my first thought was "just get rid of them and make it illegal" but then I thought no one might support that, I'm glad I was wrong about that.

@samsterby@mastodon.green As a landlord I'd say this is roughly the right approach but won't survive contact with reality - There's a community of often well off people who move between work every few months who choose to rent and don't fit the council model at all - There's a mix of well off people and people with things like #autism that choose to rent managed accomodation either for convenience or in the autistic case because they can't cope otherwise. So you'd be taking away support for disabled people
