@abhayakara@mastodon.nl I know for a fact the mapping software is not made for my use case. The free version only routes for "Everyday biking" which apparently means you can easily bike up/down staircases. I wonder what the "Mountain bike" routing option does. Haven't tried since it costs 10 euro but it would be interesting to see if I get more staircases or less...

@eq@mas.to Clearly the authors have a very ambitious notion of what "everyday biking" entails, which I admire. I use Google Maps for routing a lot, and it never sends me up or down staircases (to be fair, I live in the Netherlands, so this would be hard) but often sends me on stupid detours and along routes that suck compared to the nice bikeway two blocks over. Sigh.
