Clearly the authors have a very ambitious notion of what "everyday biking" entails, which I admire.
I use Google Maps for routing a lot, and it never sends me up or down staircases (to be fair, I live in the Netherlands, so this would be hard) but often sends me on stupid detours and along routes that suck compared to the nice bikeway two blocks over. Sigh.

@abhayakara@mastodon.nl Yeah, google maps feels more like it tries to get you on the car roads as much as possible. I'm pretty happy with Naviki really. It's just now and then I end up with a staircase :-)
