@solarisfire@mast.solarisfire.com @hacks4pancakes@infosec.exchange try seeing if MeshCore is more prevalent in your area. I have Meshtastic as well but where I’m at it has probably less than 10% of the nodes that MeshCore has.

@solarisfire@mast.solarisfire.com It was the same in my area (Paris, France) with Meshtastic. Apparently everyone is using MeshCore, as soon I switched to it (firmware flash), I saw a lot of nodes and messages exchanged. @hacks4pancakes@infosec.exchange

@solarisfire@mast.solarisfire.com I’ve found it’s very regional here in the UK - where I am in South Devon it’s Meshtastic everywhere but zero MeshCore. I spent the summer driving around the UK for work and took two radios with me. Outside of Devon I saw very few Meshtastic nodes but almost 300 MeshCore repeaters… My take on it so far is Meshtastic is better for ad-hoc local networks and MeshCore for infrastructure and message volumes… 🤷🏻 @hacks4pancakes@infosec.exchange
