I have a beard. I like dinghys.

I'm up in sunny Heretaunga, just on the edge of town near orchards, its lovely. In my day job i'm a networking engineer I think. When not working I cook, try to produce more of our food in a wee garden, very slowly build a sailing dinghy and spend too much time on 'puter games.

Fediverse.info: #fedi22 #boatbuilding #cooking #gardening <a href="https://masto

What's more calm and peaceful than a group of friends chilling by a lake and singing a song talking about letting go at the end of a tough day. Taylor Ashton with Rachael Price (Lake Street Dive) - Strong Hands https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiS6Bmqe73E Also featuring many others i've spotted Louis Cato (currently Vulfpeck, formerly the Late Show), Theo Katzman (formerly Vulfpeck) #jukeboxFridayNight #peaceandcalm

If you do the YouTube thing and you'd like to watch a couple try to fix up the damage that a monoculture pine plantation has done to a hill, I highly recommend checking these videos out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXm67pwWYlU Its early on in the project but really interesting learning about our native plants (from a non-native!) and ways to re-wild & restore native plants to a damaged landscape.

While im getting excited about battery & hybrid railcars, its worth noting that even diesel railcars are a way more efficient forms of transport than planes or busses. So even if we couldn't adopt the electrical tech now, we could still use railcars to reduce private passenger vehicle journeys & thus overall energy consumption.
