Wow, so, Nintendo is winning the console war by suicide? Sony jumped off the console cliff out of nowhere, and now Xbox is eating a rat poison cake for fun. Still standing : the indie scene, the PC gaming master race, the retrogaming scene, Nintendon’t. I hope Valve won’t die by autoerotic asphyxia. I don’t like them THAT MUCH (like, Newel is building cunt yachts instead of funding cool studios for cool new games), but they’re still on the good side of history. We’ll still have GOG, though.

I could understand doing this if your brand was thriving, but this just feels like trying to squeeze money out of a sinking business instead of fixing the problems that are sinking it.

Don’t video game sales make magnitudes more money than movies. Sounds like a another brilliant Xbox move.

I saw a post on blusky that summarized it: Microsoft never wanted to consolidate studios. They wanted to consolidate IP.

Thought the thumbnail was Mia Khalifa for a second. “how people experience our franchises beyond the games themselves” indeed.

Microsoft getting into the movie biz when many are no longer watching movies. Genius! Those who watch the Microsoft movies…will they need to purchase new hardware? /s
