PC gaming might be standing but it's costing an arm and a leg to do so.

There’s no sense in selling a loss-leader computer/console when the losses are soooooo massive these days because of component shortages caused by billionaire hoarders.

As someone who has been around since the third console generation (NES, SMS), honestly I feel like we are living in one of the worst eras in gaming history, second only to the crash of '83 (but I wasn’t there for that so I can’t confirm). It really sucks that Nintendo is winning the console wars. Between suing their fans for making their games better, and them being seemingly unable to release a console that can keep up with modern performance standards (The Switch 2 only has 1500 shader cores FFS; modern midrange GPUs have 10,000+!), I wish literally anyone else was on top. I mean I’m not in this fight—my last console was the 360—and I’ve been PC exclusive since, but still, we need healthy competition or things are only going to get worse for gamers.
