If AI is as great as they tell us, where are all the cool apps created with vibe coding? Where are the galleries filled by AI art? Where are the novels written by LLMs?

@kloetzl@genomic.social The answer to 1 & 3 is all over the place. If it's good, you wouldn't be able to tell it's AI. The answer to #2 is art (at least gallery art, as opposed to we're-all-artists art) is a social status marker not a quality gate. I mean, a lot of human galleries are garbage. Banana duct-taped to wall? Knowing rich people > artistic talent. Which is not really to say that AI apps, art, and games are great. Just that there are epistemological problems with your heuristic.
