@rdm has his birthday today. March 11 he had a cardiac arrest so now he has a resurrection date as well. I am so very thankful he is alive to celebrate this, and hopefully many more birthdays. We kicked off celebrations last night with gf curry puffs, profiteroles and colourful fruit and chocolate hummus and orange almond cake with the rpg-ers. One of our friends gifted him a bottle of finger lime flavoured non alcoholic gin (we're both teetotal but rdm is a serious nonalc mixologist), we have never seen flavoured 0 proof gin before so we're pretty excited by that, what a thoughtful gift! Months ago I had found the perfect gift for him ( combining two of his passions) had just gone into preorder - it arrived early and I snuck it into the house and hid it. On Thursday I sneakily wrapped it and sketched rapidly on the highbrow butcher's paper before he got home. He opened it last night, and I think he likes the sketchy drawings on paper the most. :-) After we got home from our walk it was past midnight and he couldn't resist opening his present. Perhaps he will show it off. I think he likes it. Tonight we shall go to our favourite restaurant, Juniper & Bay with my Mum and Poss and then retire to Poss's new demesne for a Taskmaster marathon I should think, it's been a while. I love my sweety and I am so glad he is still with us for this birthday.
