I got a dose of the bike hatred they're stoking today.
Guy (of course) going purely mental pointing to a pot-holed path (where there's also always pedestrians, strollers, etc.) as if I don't have a right to my legal place on the road. I wasn't even in his way; he was at a stop. His spouse looked embarrassed -- I felt sorry for her and for the kids watching dad rage. I did raise a finger (sorry fellow cyclists, I know it doesn't help, but sometimes reflex wins out).

@f800gecko@mastodon.online @erin@ottawa.place You'd think they'd prefer protected bike lanes because it keeps bicycles off their lanes, but no. They just like to feel superior.

@f800gecko@mastodon.online thanks to someone online once, instead of the finger I now squint my eyes and hold my thumb and index fingers close when big angry men piss me off. 🤏 I genuinely can’t tell you how much satisfaction I feel when they realize what I’m doing. @mariellequinton@ottawa.place
