Do you know any historical song about mourning, from England or the UK? Bonus points if it's from the 19th century.
It doesn't have to be religious. Folk songs welcome.
I searched online and found several websites with plenty of historical songs, but no category specifically for the topics of grief and mourning.
If you know a website with that category, please write the link.
I am looking for this for a novel.

@amalia12@mastodon.social usually there are museums keeping libraries of songs. Maybe researching (bigger) folk museums and asking them for hints might help you. I have used the services of the Austrian Volkskundemuseum on several occasions, unfortunately I don’t know what the equivalent for UK would be.
