@CanvasesByPeter@mementomori.social 2/2 That being said, I'm somewhat surprised how seldom pushes against PR-teams come out. These "attribute empty pleasanties to public figures" -practices are common, and they hinge on the PR-team, public figure, target audience, AND literate society sharing similar understanding on what can be said without pushback. Obviously Israeli PR-team should realise that "I love Israel and its people" isn't commonly in that category.

@CanvasesByPeter@mementomori.social Got blocked. To be clear: I'm categorically against genocide. I go to public demonstrations, have palestinian flag on my profile page, and speak about the topic on fediverse*. If this topic is enough of a "people's front of Judea" that you can't even discuss fine grain of such pedantry as "was this PR-company manufacturing consent for genocide or were they just otherwise waste of air", we're going to lose. _ *https://mastodon.social/@iju/tagged/palestiina

  • @iju@mastodon.social Yes, it's basically another solid confirmation that israel makes stuff up on the spot to suit their agendas. Israel cannot be trusted. It's why they're spending over $700 million this year just on "*public perception*" (whitewashing and distraction from their lies). When it'd actually cost them nothing at all just to actually 'do the right thing' for once. https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20260506-israel-to-spend-730m-on-propaganda-as-global-image-collapses-over-gaza-genocide/
