@brett I use a spacemouse all the time. I used to have one when I did cad work professionally and really missed it when I got back to doing cad work for my personal projects. I picked up one second hand and it’s so nice to have it back. Even for simple designs with sketches that are on the primary planes, it’s really nice being able to adjust my view quickly and freely. I find it much more natural the mousing the view around.

@brett curious to know as well, I've occasionally used one but never got the hang of it 🤔

@brett I got a Spacemouse a few months ago, and I use it all the time in Fusion 360. It's really good at moving the camera around to see what an object really looks like. It's surprisingly good for panning and zooming 2D sketches -- the default controls aren't as responsive. I also use it in PrusaSlicer, but it isn't as well integrated there, and feels clumsy.

@brett I use SpaceMouse Wireless and it is great for both 2D and 3D navigation in #Fusion360, #SolidEdge, #OnShape, #PrusaSlicer, etc. It took me a couple of days to get used to it, of course. I like rotating the model and looking at it from all sides and angles, zooming in and out to check some corners, filets, etc. Can you go without one? Yes, but it makes using these tools flawless and easier vs. with regular mouse. It works in many other apps, too, but its main strength is 3D navigation.

@brett I use one. It is very nice used in combination with a mouse. You can rotate the object independent of what you are trying to click on with the mouse. I'm so happy it "just works" with freecad now. It used to not be compiled in to all builds. I am not an advanced cad user. I could see it being awkward to not have a hand on the keyboard if I were faster and more advanced. I could see how the more advanced one with many macro buttons would be good.
