It allows kids under 18/15 (by the age group) not being able to install apps, since #EUKidsAct concerns app stores as well, limiting their access to tools they might need to learn something. And then restricting the free access information that one would need to begin learning in the first place.

@The_Universality@mastodon.novotnykrystof.com, the social media delay only restricts account creation on specific services with demonstrably risky features. It does not cover educational platforms, encyclopaedias, digital news or interpersonal messaging, and services such as online games, AI companions and chatbots remain accessible under strict safety-by-design requirements.
