You push and push and push grinding me into a pulp and they always act surprised or heap cruelty onto themselves as if I would ever say such cruel things to someone I call friend... or performative fawning happens... Strangers who would be friends offer more kindness and then feel the burn of the words I can't even say openly While other friends I see drowning and I'm too frail and broken to reach out to them in the dark, the teara are overwhelming I'm tired I just want Mom to have peace
